Mawlana Abdur Rashid Social Welfare Association (MARSA) is an independent, impartial and non-profit humanitarian and development organization aiming to protect human dignity, reduce poverty and improve the quality of life of communities in need.
Founded in Bangladesh, MARSA has since worked in education, health, clean water, orphan support, humanitarian aid, disaster response and community development. Through its work particularly in Bangladesh's disadvantaged regions and the camps of Arakan (Rohingya) refugees, it touches the lives of thousands.
MARSA aims not only to meet urgent needs but also to help individuals and communities build their own futures by creating sustainable solutions.
OUR STORY
MARSA was founded to reach the most vulnerable members of society and to make humanitarian work more systematic and sustainable. At the heart of our organization lies the belief that helping those in need is not merely a responsibility but a duty toward humanity.
We set out to create lasting solutions for children deprived of education, families without access to clean water, communities lacking health services and refugees affected by humanitarian crises. Today MARSA has grown from a local aid initiative into a respected humanitarian organization that builds international partnerships, runs large-scale projects and contributes to the sustainable development goals.
